Celebrating Cardiac Care and Healthy Hearts
On April 16, 2008, the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation hosted its 9th annual Celebration of the Heart event in the new GSH Conference Center. Close to 130 former cardiac patients, donors and trustees attended.
The program featured several presentations, including a Good Samaritan Hospital update by David Dornheggen; an introduction to Stereotaxis by John Wilson, MD; and update on robotic-assisted cardiac surgery by Karen Gersch, MD; an overview of cardiac drugs by Nancy Wuestefeld, PharmD; and a report on Good Samaritan’s impressive cardiac surgery outcomes by J. Michael Smith. MD.
The presentations were followed by a Q & A panel featuring the presenters listed above and Puvi Seshiah, MD. Three cardiac grateful patients shared their stories with the audience. Ranjit Rath, MD and David Tondow, MD gave the closing remarks.
