Since its beginning in 1986, the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation has made significant contributions to Good Samaritan Hospital, Good Samaritan College Of Nursing And Health Science, and the Greater Cincinnati community due to the generosity and support of our donors.
Achievements
Here's how the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation has made a positive impact in the Cincinnati Area:
2007 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation launched the Medical Education
Center Project. This $2.9 million endeavor will take our excellent Medical Education Program and house
it in a facility which will give current and future physicians the most up-to-date technology and
tools.
2006 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation completed its Compassionate Care
Multiplied Campaign exceeding the $7.5 million goal by raising more than $9.5 million. This campaign
raised monies for the following areas: Cardiac Services, Good Samaritan Hospital College of Nursing and
Health Science, Medical Education and Research, Women’s Health and Parish Nurse Ministry.
2006 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation successfully completed its
Compassionate Care Multiplied Campaign, exceeding its $7.5M goal. The campaign raised
over $9M and concluded ahead of schedule with a celebration in November. The Foundation also launched a
mini-campaign to support the NICU's Home Away From Home apartments.
2005 - Good Samaritan Hospital employees kick-off a two-year campaign to raise $250,000 for the Parish Nurse Ministry.
The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation launches its Compassionate Care Multiplied Campaign to raise $7.5M for five areas:
2004 - Good Samaritan unveils its unique healing environment. Located on fourteenth floor of the Hospital, this area offers a relaxing and soothing home-like atmosphere designed to speed recovery. The healing environment space is made possible through a generous bequest.
2003 - Through the gift of three generous families, Good Samaritan Hospital is the first hospital in the Cincinnati region to purchase and use the da Vinci© robotics system. As a result, Good Samaritan Hospital now has the technology and talent necessary to offer our patients a minimally-invasive option to heart surgery.
2002 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation helped secure money to build a new Cardiac Surgery Recovery Unit and a Cardiac Cath Pre-and Post-Case Recovery Unit. Both of these units enhance the care that is available to our cardiac patients and their families.
2001 - Good Samaritan Hospital officially opens its new Breast Center. The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation raises money to help fund one of the first R2 Image Checker Systems in Greater Cincinnati. This new technology assists radiologists in the early detection of breast cancer and strengthens the overall quality of services offered.
1999 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation marks one of its greatest achievements to date with the completion of our Little Miracles Campaign. The campaign raises more than $5.2 million for Good Samaritan Hospital's renowned Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
1997 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and its donors helps to fund the relocation and renovation of our Outpatient Cancer Care Unit caring for cancer patients and their families through its Continuing to Touch Lives campaign.
1995 - The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation helps open a New Door to the Community through our campaign, raising over $2 million to renovate the Emergency Unit.
