John "Jack" F. Mayer

November 18, 1945 – June 23, 2021

Jack Mayer, loving husband to Jackie, father to Scott, Nichole and Marcie, father-in-law to Kimberly, Mark and Rocco, grandfather to Drew, Alexander, Emma, Patrick, Bruno and Ronan died unexpectedly after suffering a stroke on Father’s Day.

Jack believed in the importance of education and valued lifelong learning. In 2013, to celebrate Jackie’s retirement from 30 years as an Associate Professor of Nursing at the Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science, Jack worked with the college foundation to create the Jacquelyn P. Mayer Scholarship to help a second-year student continue his/her education. To date the scholarship has supported 8 students in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Thank you for helping additional students on their path to a life of service as a nurse.
